City Center Online Launches Responsible Gaming Campaign

Rosario football icons Ángel Di María and Maximiliano Rodríguez have joined forces in a new Responsible Gaming initiative titled “Decisions”, introduced by City Center Online. The campaign is designed to promote safer gambling behavior and firmly stresses that individuals under 18 must not take part in betting or games of chance.

The initiative uses the personal journeys of both former Argentine national team players to deliver its message. By reflecting on the defining choices that shaped their football careers, the campaign connects life decision-making with responsible attitudes toward gambling participation.

City Center Online selected the two athletes due to their deep ties to Rosario’s football identity and their historic connections to the city’s rival clubs, Rosario Central and Newell's Old Boys. After years competing in Europe, Ángel Di María returned to play again for Rosario Central, while Maximiliano Rodríguez closed his career with Newell’s Old Boys, where he previously celebrated a domestic title.

Through a series of narrative-driven videos, both players revisit turning points in their professional paths and explain how thoughtful choices influenced their outcomes. The storyline then transitions toward gambling responsibility, with particular emphasis on youth protection.

Each video concludes with a direct statement from the players highlighting that they succeeded by making informed decisions and reinforcing that minors are not permitted to gamble.

The “Decisions” campaign is published on City Center Online’s YouTube channel and is intended to reach a broad digital audience. By leveraging the credibility and recognition of the two football figures, the project aims to encourage wider discussion around responsible gambling, positioning it as an issue of awareness, maturity and personal accountability rather than simple promotion.
