Galaxy Arena, iQIYI Renew Three-Year Entertainment Pact
Galaxy Arena has reinforced its long-standing collaboration with streaming powerhouse iQIYI, locking in a fresh three-year partnership designed to broaden their joint footprint in large-scale entertainment, immersive attractions and cross-platform productions throughout Macau.
Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), operator of Galaxy Macau, confirmed the renewed deal on Wednesday. The companies praised the previous term as a period of rapid growth, citing elevated visibility for the Cotai venue and stronger alignment with China’s entertainment market as key outcomes.
Renewal Signals an Ambitious Second Phase
Senior executives from both sides formalized the agreement in a signing ceremony, signalling deeper confidence in the partnership’s commercial value. The new phase aims to go beyond the initial scope, creating a more integrated framework for live events, digital IP development and experiential content.
Expanding Into Multi-Format Entertainment
The updated alliance will enhance cooperation across concerts, major award ceremonies, variety productions, film-related showcases and drama-based IP activations. The approach positions the 16,000-seat Galaxy Arena as a core conduit between Macau’s tourism strategy and China’s vast entertainment and streaming ecosystem.
The broader programming push also aligns with GEG’s diversification roadmap, which focuses on attracting non-gaming traffic through entertainment-led experiences.
Success Anchored by High-Profile Events
During the first three years, the partnership delivered several successful activations, most notably the staging of “iQIYI Scream Night,” one of the platform’s most-watched annual awards shows. The star-studded event drew nationwide attention and reaffirmed the arena’s capacity to host technically demanding, large-format productions. The renewed agreement is expected to bring more events of similar or greater scale.
Immersive Projects Reinforce Innovation Strategy
Beyond staged productions, the collaboration has branched into immersive entertainment. One standout project is the VR attraction inspired by iQIYI’s fantasy hit Love Between Fairy and Devil, which blends storyline-driven interaction with Galaxy Macau’s themed environments. More immersive IP-based experiences are anticipated under the renewed partnership.
Strengthening Macau’s Non-Gaming Push
The extension of the partnership supports Macau’s broader economic diversification goals, especially its ambition to scale up non-gaming entertainment. With a steady pipeline of culturally relevant and high-impact content, Galaxy Arena is poised to remain a dominant force in Cotai’s evolving entertainment landscape.
GEG’s continued cooperation with iQIYI ensures the arena maintains a robust calendar of high-profile shows, immersive attractions and flagship entertainment assets further cementing its role as a bridge between Macau tourism and mainland China’s entertainment economy.
