Jeju Dream Tower Casino Sales Jump 62% in 2025
Jeju Dream Tower wrapped up 2025 with a standout performance from its casino business, as operator Lotte Tour Development reported sharp year-on-year growth across revenue and visitation. According to an unaudited filing submitted to the Korea Exchange on Friday, casino sales for the year reached KRW476.62 billion (US$329.6 million), representing a 61.8% increase compared with KRW294.63 billion recorded in 2024.
Player volumes rose in parallel with revenue. The foreigner-only casino on Jeju Island admitted 590,332 visitors during the year, up 54.1% from 383,073 in the prior period. While the final month of the year showed signs of easing momentum, overall figures point to sustained demand throughout most of 2025.
December Performance Shows Strength and Cooling
December delivered strong year-on-year growth despite a month-on-month decline. Casino revenue climbed 73.8% compared with December 2024 to KRW40.97 billion (US$28.3 million), although this marked a 20.2% drop from November’s result. Table games continued to dominate earnings, generating KRW38.86 billion for the month, up 75.6% annually but down 22.1% sequentially. Slot machines accounted for KRW2.12 billion, increasing 46.4% year-on-year and 44.2% compared with November.
Table Play Drives Annual Growth
Table drop figures mirrored the revenue trend. In December, table drop totaled KRW192.08 billion, an increase of 44.7% from the same month last year, though 18.5% lower than the previous month. Across the full year, table drop reached approximately KRW2.46 trillion, reflecting a 62.2% annual rise and reinforcing table games as the core revenue driver at the property.
Attendance figures supported the financial performance. The casino welcomed 50,657 visitors in December alone, contributing to record annual footfall and highlighting Jeju Dream Tower’s growing relevance within South Korea’s foreigner-only gaming sector.
Hotel Revenue Lags Casino Momentum
Non-gaming performance told a more uneven story. Hotel revenue in December reached nearly KRW7.53 billion, up 36.8% year-on-year and 16% month-on-month. However, full-year hotel revenue amounted to KRW80.56 billion, down 4.8% compared with 2024. The divergence underscores the property’s reliance on casino operations, with accommodation playing a secondary role amid fluctuating occupancy levels.
Strong Trajectory Despite Late-Year Normalization
Overall, 2025 marked a decisive growth year for Jeju Dream Tower’s casino, led by a surge in table-game activity and a sharp increase in international visitation. While December reflected some moderation following stronger autumn results, the annual totals confirm a robust underlying trend. Going forward, maintaining casino momentum while improving hotel performance appears central to balancing the resort’s overall results.
