Novomatic and Ainsworth Showcase Slots at G2E Asia

Austria-based supplier Novomatic and its majority-owned Australian affiliate Ainsworth Game Technology Ltd used Global Gaming Expo Asia in Manila last month to spotlight slot products newly approved for deployment in the Philippine market. With local casino operators actively refreshing floors to attract international visitors, the showcase arrived at a timely moment for suppliers positioning certified content for near-term rollout.

Certified content takes centre stage

Novomatic’s headline launch was Xtension Link Evolution, a title that has recently secured certification from Gaming Laboratories International for use in the Philippines. The product is housed in the 330C Diamond X 1.55J cabinet, which features a 55-inch J-curved display paired with a full touch-deck control panel.

The platform includes two selectable game themes Mighty Squad and Fu Flow both built around a three-pot jackpot structure and multi-denomination play. According to Novomatic sales manager Michael Barsin, the games are designed to create a sense of continuity through layered bonus mechanics, combining base-game payouts with feature-triggered wins within a 243-ways configuration. Winning combinations are formed by landing three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right.

Barsin confirmed that the first Xtension Link Evolution units are scheduled to go live on Philippine casino floors in January 2026 through one of the country’s largest operators, aligning the launch with the typical start-of-year cabinet refresh cycle.

Mid-tier cabinets aimed at volume deployment

In addition to its premium-linked product, Novomatic highlighted its Black Edition II XL 3.32 cabinet from the 837 series as a core mid-range option for operators. The range includes A, B, and E variants, with screen sizes spanning from 27 inches on the A model to 32 inches on the B configuration.

These cabinets are positioned primarily as multi-game platforms, running Novomatic’s Novo Line Interactive Edition X4 package. The suite includes established titles such as Book of Ra, Lord of the Ocean, Lucky Lady’s Charm, Sizzling Hot, Dolphins Pearl and Chicago. Barsin noted that Chicago remains particularly popular among Korean visitors, a key demographic for Philippine integrated resorts.

The multi-game setup also allows operators to deploy mystery jackpot layers, either across a single machine bank or linked more broadly via casino management systems, offering added engagement without requiring significant hardware changes.

Ainsworth highlights cabinet flexibility

Ainsworth’s contribution to the show centred on its AGT A849 A-Star Raptor cabinet, featuring a 49-inch curved screen. Barsin described the Raptor as Ainsworth’s primary cabinet for the Philippine market, citing its ability to support both dual-screen Australian-style content and portrait-oriented titles developed for the U.S.

The demonstration lineup included the San Fa series, featuring dragon, panda, tiger and rabbit themes. Built around the same three-pot jackpot mechanic, the games have delivered strong results across multiple regions, including North America, Latin America, Australia and the Philippines. The cabinet’s flexibility, Barsin said, reflects Ainsworth’s strategy of drawing from both its Australian and U.S. content pipelines to suit local market preferences.

Competing for attention on crowded casino floors

With Philippine casinos facing intense competition to maintain player interest, Novomatic and Ainsworth’s emphasis on adaptable cabinets, proven mechanics and internationally recognised titles underscores a focus on reliability as much as innovation. As installations begin early next year, the performance of these newly certified machines will offer a clear test of how global content resonates with local and inbound players alike.
