SBC Summit 2025 Wraps Up as the Biggest and Most Global Edition
SBC Summit 2025 closed on a record-breaking high, confirming its reputation as the industry’s premier global event with more than 30,000 attendees from 150 nations.
This year’s edition marked 20% growth compared to 2024, drawing the gaming world’s leading operators, suppliers, affiliates, regulators, media, fintech innovators and sports representatives. The event also featured over 700 sponsors and exhibitors, more than 550 speakers and an expanded 135,000m2 footprint across FIL and MEO Arena.
Attendees praised the summit’s impact. Elaine Gardiner-Ruddock of TAG Media called it a “must-attend,” while Betsson Group CEO Jesper Svensson described it as “a yearly occurrence in the calendar.” Altenar COO Dinos Stranomitis highlighted it as “one of the most prominent shows globally.”
The event expanded its international scope with representatives from 16 new countries. Latin America, Asia, Africa and Europe all saw significant growth, underscoring its global relevance.
New stages for emerging markets and networking zones enhanced the focus on Africa, Asia, the Americas and beyond. High-level attendance also grew, with nearly 6,000 C-level executives, including 600 at the exclusive SBC Leaders Summit.
Operator presence rose 31% and affiliate participation jumped 38%, with the Affiliate Leaders Summit and Awards adding new value for partners.
On the expo floor, 235 new exhibitors joined the 700 brands on display, while sessions featured 550+ experts, keynote stars such as Gary Vaynerchuk and Randi Zuckerberg and sports icons Oleksandr Usyk and Rubens Barrichello.
Highlights included the launch of Tech Academies, covering AI, blockchain and gamification and the Super CEO Panel featuring leaders from Flutter, Betfred, Betsson, Super Group and Fast Track.
A standout was the Legends Charity Game, where international stars like Kaká, Del Piero, and Roberto Carlos faced Portuguese greats including Luís Figo and Nani. The match raised €600,000 for charity and drew more than 20,000 fans.
The summit concluded with the SBC Awards, hosted by Edwin van der Sar and Kirsty Gallagher, celebrating achievements across over 40 categories.
SBC CEO Rasmus Sojmark praised the event’s scale and impact, calling it “the greatest show in gaming.” Planning is already underway for SBC Summit 2026, set for Lisbon from 29 September to 1 October.
