ALEA has been elected to serve as the First Vice President of Cibelae for the 2025–2027 period, during the Annual General Assembly held on 11 November 2025 in Asunción, Paraguay. The assembly also appointed a new Board of Directors for the upcoming term.

Ida López, President of ALEA, will hold the leadership role, marking a notable achievement for the organization in the Ibero-American lottery and gaming sector.

Promoting Responsible and Regulated Gaming
López highlighted that the position offers a platform to strengthen regional coordination on key priorities, including combating illegal gambling and advancing a transparent, regulated and socially responsible gaming framework across Latin America.

The election is seen as international recognition of ALEA’s long-standing contributions, including fostering collaboration, implementing best practices and supporting the development of a secure and compliant gaming ecosystem in Argentina and the wider region.

Strategic Presence at Key Industry Event
The announcement coincided with the XIX Congress “Lottery Products & Sports Betting” in Asunción, which gathers regulators, operators and suppliers across Ibero-America to discuss market trends, regulatory developments and innovation in the gaming sector.
