Betsul Appoints Lucas Ferreira as CMO

Brazilian betting operator Betsul has appointed Lucas Ferreira as its new Chief Marketing Officer, marking a strategic leadership move as the company looks to reinforce its brand positioning and competitiveness.

Active in Brazil’s betting market since 2019, Betsul is approaching six years of operations at a time when the sector is undergoing regulatory restructuring and heightened competition. Company leadership has opted to bring in an experienced marketing executive to help reposition the brand and drive growth in an evolving landscape.

Ferreira, a specialist in digital marketing with cross-industry experience, assumes responsibility for overseeing Betsul’s marketing strategy during what the company describes as a pivotal stage of development.

Focus on Integration and Performance

Commenting on his appointment, Ferreira said he takes on the role with a clear objective of returning Betsul to a leading market position. He highlighted the company’s established strengths in customer service and player experience, adding that the next phase will centre on closer alignment between marketing, product and technology teams.

According to Ferreira, this integrated approach will be supported by innovative strategies and a strong results-driven mindset aimed at accelerating growth in the months ahead.

Background in Digital Strategy

Ferreira brings more than 14 years of experience in digital marketing, including nine years leading high-performance teams. Over his career, he has designed and executed brand positioning and expansion strategies across sectors such as retail, technology, fashion and iGaming.

He has overseen more than R$900 million in media investments, with a focus on acquisition strategies, performance marketing and brand development initiatives. His background emphasises data-led decision-making and structured growth planning elements that align with Betsul’s stated objective of sustainable expansion.

Company Positioning

Founded in 2019, Betsul operates within Brazil’s regulated betting framework and promotes itself as a customer-focused brand. It was the first betting operator in the country to receive the RA1000 quality seal from Reclame Aqui, recognising performance in customer service and complaint resolution.

The operator provides 24/7 customer support and offers betting on national and international sports events, online casino titles, live casino games, eSports and instant games. Access is restricted to players aged 18 and above. Betsul states that it operates under Portaria SPA/MF No. 255/2025, reflecting alignment with Brazil’s current regulatory standards.

Strategic Direction

The CMO appointment comes as Brazil’s betting sector faces closer scrutiny around compliance, advertising practices and consumer protection. Strengthening marketing leadership and operational alignment is positioned as central to maintaining competitiveness in this environment.

By integrating marketing initiatives with product development and technological capabilities, Betsul aims to enhance its market standing while supporting responsible growth within the regulated framework.
