Corona Resort & Casino on Phu Quoc Island has introduced a new dedicated gaming zone aimed at premium mass players, expanding its floor layout to better serve guests seeking higher stakes and greater privacy. The launch reflects the property’s continued effort to fine-tune its offer for both domestic and international visitors through more segmented player experiences.
The new section, branded Corona Premium Mass, was developed together with Upffinity Gaming Management and focuses on players who wager at elevated levels but do not necessarily participate in full VIP programs. The area is positioned as a more discreet alternative to the main gaming floor, offering a quieter setting and more attentive, tailored service while remaining connected to the central casino environment.
High-limit tables and core games
The Premium Mass floor features a selection of well-known table games, led by multiple baccarat formats alongside roulette, blackjack and Russian Poker. The concept is built around experienced table players who want larger betting limits without moving into private VIP salons.
Table limits in the area are set significantly above standard mass levels. Roulette wagers can reach up to VND20 million (about $775) per spin, while baccarat limits extend to VND1 billion (around $38,700). These thresholds position the space for serious bettors who still prefer an open-floor atmosphere over fully secluded high-roller rooms.
Service, privacy, and controlled access
According to the property, the Premium Mass zone is structured as a restricted-access section with its own tables and elevated limits. Entry and service are prioritized, with dedicated staff assigned to respond quickly to player needs. The operating model emphasizes discretion, reduced foot traffic and a more refined atmosphere for both players and their guests.
The casino highlights privacy, personalized attention and an upscale environment as core features, aiming to create a more comfortable setting away from the noise and density of the main floor. The approach is designed to strengthen loyalty among higher-value mass players.
Position within Vietnam’s regulated market
Corona Resort & Casino holds a distinctive role in Vietnam’s gaming sector. It is one of only two casinos permitted to admit local players and currently the only venue allowed to do so on an ongoing basis rather than under a limited pilot window. This gives the resort access to a broader customer base than properties restricted to foreign passport holders.
The Grand Ho Tram complex near Ho Chi Minh City also accepts Vietnamese players, but only under a time-limited pilot program that began in 2019. Corona’s framework has since shifted to a continuing trial arrangement for local participation.
