Saudi Arabia, Greece & Philippines Lead iGaming Growth
Saudi Arabia, Greece and the Philippines emerged as some of the fastest-growing igaming markets in 2025, according to insights from market intelligence platform Blask. The company’s Blask Index, which tracks player interest and search trends in real time across more than 100 jurisdictions, highlighted these three countries as posting the largest year-on-year gains.
Saudi Arabia recorded the strongest rise, climbing nine spots to 20th place, reflecting a marked uptick in igaming-related attention across the Middle East. The Philippines moved up four positions to 12th, a shift Blask attributed to PAGCOR’s introduction of a new licensing framework in 2025, which formalised key aspects of the local online gambling market.
Greece also advanced four ranks, reaching 17th place, supported by strong operator performance, particularly from OPAP and increased domestic engagement with regulated igaming offerings. According to Blask, these movements demonstrate how regulatory reforms and changing player behaviour can rapidly reshape the competitive landscape of global online gaming.
Despite these changes further down the rankings, the Blask Index top five remained consistent with 2024, with the United Kingdom continuing to hold its position as the leading igaming market in terms of player attention and search activity. Max Tesla, CEO and co-founder of Blask, commented: “Player interest is shifting at an unprecedented pace worldwide. Operators that leverage real-time, data-driven insights can anticipate emerging trends, understand what drives engagement and position themselves to capture growth opportunities as they develop.”
