Apuesta Total Expands Club Deals in Peru’s Volleyball League

Peruvian betting operator Apuesta Total is strengthening its footprint in the Peruvian Volleyball League with an expanded sponsorship campaign ahead of the 2025–2026 season, which tips off on October 25 at the Miguel Grau Coliseum in Callao.

The company will now sponsor six of the twelve participating clubs (Regatas Lima, Universidad San Martín, Circolo Sportivo Italiano, Deportivo Géminis, Universitario de Deportes, and Alianza Lima ) making Apuesta Total the most represented brand in the league. This move underscores the firm’s ongoing effort to support the evolution of professional volleyball and nurture the sport’s rapid rise in popularity among Peruvian fans.

A Strategic Turn Toward Club Partnerships

After three years as the title sponsor of the entire league, Apuesta Total is reorienting its strategy to focus more directly on individual clubs and players. The decision represents a deeper investment in the grassroots structure of the sport, empowering teams to grow competitively while boosting fan engagement at the local level.

CEO Gonzalo Pérez explained the motivation behind the shift:

“After three seasons supporting the league as a whole, we decided to direct our resources to the clubs themselves, the real pillars of volleyball. With our new partners, we reaffirm Apuesta Total’s belief in the strength and potential of Peruvian volleyball.”

This club-based model gives teams direct financial support and promotional benefits, helping them reinvest in talent development, training programs and facility upgrades.

Expanding Fan Experiences and Brand Integration

Under the new agreements, Apuesta Total’s logo will feature prominently on team jerseys, training centers, and digital channels. The company will also introduce new engagement initiatives including interactive fan events, online campaigns, and social media collaborations designed to strengthen the bond between players and supporters.

Pérez added that volleyball perfectly complements Apuesta Total’s sports sponsorship portfolio because it reaches a diverse, family-oriented audience. “Volleyball lets us connect with fans who live the sport beyond competition it’s part of their daily identity and community spirit,” he said.

Volleyball’s Surge in Popularity and Betting

Internal data from Apuesta Total reveals a 50% rise in volleyball-related betting between the 2023–2024 and 2024–2025 seasons, a sign of growing enthusiasm for the National Volleyball League. The operator attributes this growth to the sport’s increasing accessibility and the passionate following it enjoys across Peru.

Pérez noted, “This surge reflects how deeply volleyball resonates with Peruvians. We’re proud to continue supporting a sport that unites people and inspires new generations.”

By sponsoring half the league’s teams, Apuesta Total strengthens its position as a leading private sector ally in Peru’s sports landscape. The initiative extends beyond marketing it promotes gender equality, community empowerment, and the sustainable growth of national athletics.
