La Pampa Gaming Revenues Fall 8.2% in Q2 2025

Gaming revenues in Argentina’s La Pampa Province fell by 8.2% during the second quarter of 2025, according to official figures released by the Instituto de Seguridad Social (ISS) in the Boletín Oficial. Despite the quarterly drop, earnings remained higher than in 2024, underscoring the sector’s resilience amid ongoing economic headwinds.

Quarterly Drop Reflects Broader Economic Slowdown

From April to June 2025, combined revenues from Casino Provincial, Loto, Quini 6 and Telekino reached ARS 1.029 billion (USD 694,000), down from ARS 1.121 billion (USD 756,000) in Q1. The ISS attributed the contraction to weakened purchasing power, rising unemployment and lower household spending all consequences of Argentina’s broader economic challenges.

Nevertheless, the figures still represent solid year-on-year growth compared to 2024, when quarterly revenues averaged ARS 620 million (USD 418,000), highlighting steady participation despite inflationary pressures.

Casino Provincial Remains Leading Contributor

The Casino Provincial maintained its position as the top revenue generator, contributing ARS 886.2 million (USD 598,700) in Q2, a 7.6% decrease from ARS 958.9 million (USD 648,200) in Q1. Analysts at ISS said the drop reflected a natural correction following a strong first quarter inflated by peso devaluation effects, which temporarily boosted dollar-linked concession fees.

Revenue distribution for Q2 allocated ARS 584.9 million to the ISS, ARS 152.8 million to the Ministry of Social Development, ARS 97.4 million to the Provincial Education Fund, ARS 45.8 million to the Secretariat of Municipal Affairs and ARS 5 million to Tourism.

Mixed Results Across Lottery Games

Among other products, Quini 6 generated ARS 137.1 million (USD 92,600) in Q2 up from ARS 119.7 million in Q1 and marking a 300% year-on-year increase, though short of initial projections. Monthly collections varied between ARS 42.9 million and ARS 48.1 million.

Loto revenue reached ARS 50.9 million (USD 34,400), up from ARS 43 million in the first quarter. Of this total, ARS 24.4 million went to the Ministry of Social Development and ARS 10.1 million to the Provincial Education Fund. Telekino also posted a modest gain, totaling ARS 3.4 million.

Outlook Remains Positive for 2025

Despite a quarterly decline of roughly ARS 92 million (USD 62,000), La Pampa’s gaming sector remains in strong shape overall. The first half of 2025 saw total collections of ARS 2.15 billion (USD 1.4 million) more than double the amount reported in the same period of 2024.

While the slowdown reflects Argentina’s economic contraction, consistent player activity and transparent fund allocation show that gaming continues to be a key fiscal contributor for the province.
